Experimental electronic stopping cross-section of tungsten bulk and sputter-deposited thin films for slow protons, deuterons and helium ions

摘要
•Electronic stopping cross-section of W for low energy H, D and He ions are experimentally deduced.•Time-of-flight low energy ion scattering from thin-films and bulk W in backscattering geometry was employed.•Monte-Carlo simulations were performed using the TRBS code.•The results show proportionality to the ion velocity.•The present datasets are compared to semiempirical modelling and predictions from theory.
