SESSION TITLE: Education, Research, and Quality Improvement Posters 9 SESSION TYPE: Original Investigation Posters PRESENTED ON: 10/11/2023 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm PURPOSE: It is unknown how successful applicants into a pulmonary and critical care medicine (PCCM) fellowship differ from their internal medicine (IM) peers. This provides trainees, mentors, and IM programs little guidance with applications to PCCM. METHODS: We performed an analysis of 12 graduating classes of IM residents at Mayo Clinic Rochester from 2010-2021. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to adjust for all covariates simultaneously, with significance level set at α=.01. RESULTS: Overall, 54 (10%) of 522 eligible residents matched to a PCCM fellowship. Completion of a pulmonary elective was significantly associated with matching into PCCM (OR=7.85; p
