摘要

•The effect of an information strategy on household food waste (FW) was evaluated.•A randomized controlled trial with Australian adults was conducted.•FW was quantified using a standardized questionnaire at Baseline and Time 2.•At Time 2, FW reduction was slightly larger in the group that received information.•Motives for not having reduced food waste were qualitatively explored.
