Abstract
This study presented a green [HSO3-PMPY][CF3SO3] ionic liquid catalyst for the esterification of acetic acid with isobutanol, which showed high catalytic activity, excellent reusability, favorable phase separation, and non-corrosiveness. In addition, the NIH-M models could correctly describe the kinetic behavior of the esterification process.
