Abstract
Despite the efforts of national governments and international organizations, inequality in the labor market remains. At the same time, its depth and manifestations are different within each country. The study offers a comprehensive method and information support for assessing the differentiation of inequality in the regional labor markets of Ukraine based on discriminant analysis using microdata. Information support relies heavily on the processing of labor force survey microdata files, which are the single source of some of the data. Fluctuations in indicators measure the depth of inequality in the labor market. Grouping regions by inequality shows regional differences in multidimensional disparities in the labor market. As a result of evaluation, four groups of regions of Ukraine were obtained by the depth of inequality (from low to high). It has been found out the indicators that have the highest statistical significance in the classification of regions for inequality (differentiation of conditions and work results for persons with different levels of education, reduction chances of finding a job, overtime work of married women, impossibility of entering the labor market due to household duties). Deeper inequality is found in agricultural Ukrainian regions and those where the scope of employment is limited. Less inequality-in industrial and innovation-oriented regions.
