Abstract
The treatment of acute type B aortic dissections (AD) by TEVAR resulted in an improved acute phase management and facilitated remote aortic remodeling. However, a significant number of patients remain with a patent false lumen in the untreated aorta, which may contribute to long-term abdominal or thoracoabdominal aneurysm. STABILISE improved aortic remodeling results without increasing morbidity and mortality. We aimed to evaluate a change in STABILISE (modified STABILISE), using a covered thoracic stentgraft (PTFE, without proximal anchoring), combined with a degressive diameter (aortic diameter) and tight-mesh naked thoracoabdominal stenting stopping after the renal artery ostia (self-expanding nitinol stents).
