Abstract
•Graphene (GO) oxide-based nanocomposite with polypyrrole (PP) was developed.•GO/PP with 20:80 ratio was identified as the most efficient ratio for adsorption.•Adsorption properties of rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MeO) are reported.•Dye removal efficiency for MeO and RhB were 98.40% and 99.90% at optimum pH of 7.•Adsorption capacities are 10.52 mg g−1 and 9.61 mg g−1 for RhB and MeO respectively.
