Effect of high temperature deformation on the behavior of FeO eutectoid transformation

Eutectoid transformation behavior of FeO at different temperatures after high temperature deformation was investigated through simulation experiments and compared with undeformed specimens. The results show that the deformation behavior caused a significant effect on both the morphology and the formation process of the oxide scale. After deformation, the outer side of the deformed FeO, which produces a large number of micropores, provides the nucleation plasmas for the proeutectoid, which directly affects the concentration of Fe in the FeO. Fe supersaturation in FeO boundary which caused by "Fe-vacancy" makes the eutectoid transformation occurs rapidly, and Fe-cluster formed in FeO grain boundary.
