Hydrodeoxygenation of stearic acid over zeolite–MOF composite-supported Pt catalysts

•Pt/ZM catalysts were synthesized by the microwave-solvothermal method.•Effect of zeolite/MOF ratio and Pt content on the catalytic behavior was evaluated.•Hydrodeoxygenation of stearic acid with a conversion efficiency of 92% after 2 h.•Hydrocarbon selectivity is 10–11 times higher in the ZM-based catalyst case.•Good catalytic stability after 4 recycle runs during hydrodeoxygenation reaction.
