Femtosecond laser-induced crystallization in Er/Yb:BaTiO3 perovskite films: Effects on the optical and electrical properties

摘要
•Crystallization of BaTiO3:Er3+/Yb3+ perovskite films upon femtosecond laser irradiation is demonstrated.•Mechanism of the microstructural formation was explained.•Irradiation conditions for the films have been used to improve optical properties.•Crystallized highly uniform micro-patterning was achieved at a 1 kHz pulse repetition rate.•The threshold fluence to achieve laser processing was approximately 1.1 J/cm2 at 1 kHz.•The surface potential of the BaTiO3:Er3+/Yb3+ films was remarkably improved at a 1 kHz pulse repetition rate from 25 mV to 65 mV.
