Self-healing polyurethane composite films loaded with Ni@C nanoparticles

•Innovative use of Nano Ni@C particles that are commonly used as electrode materials as filler to strengthen polyurethane materials.•The synthesized polyurethane nanocomposites also have adjustable magnetic properties due to the loading of magnetic particles.•The synthesized polyurethane nanocomposites combines good mechanical properties and self-healing properties.
