摘要
•A series of red-emitting Eu3+-doped Ba2Tb8(SiO4)6O2 phosphors were synthesized.•Crystalline structure, surface morphology, photoluminescence properties, energy transfer processes, and thermal behavior of the synthesized phosphors were studied.•Upon UV and blue light exposure, the synthesized phosphors exhibited red emission associated with the 5D0→7FJ transitions.•Judd-Ofelt parameters and other radiative parameters were analyzed using PL emission spectra.•Eu3+-doped Ba2Tb8(SiO4)6O2 phosphors are a viable option for solid-state lighting technology.
