摘要
•The effects of Janus-SiO2 NPs on various VES fluids are systematically investigated.•Janus-SiO2 NPs-assisted cationic-based VES fluid exhibits greater viscoelasticity.•Hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions lead to generation of micelle-nanoparticle junctions.•The electrostatic repulsion between NPs and cationic micelles inhibits the competitive adsorption.•The more stable micelle-nanoparticle junctions should be responsible for visible enhanced viscoelasticity.
