Environmental risk for obesity is associated with psychopathology in preadolescents

Adolescent obesity and psychopathology appear to be related and are both on the rise among US youth. Better understanding of the direction of the relationship between obesity and psychopathology can inform preventative interventions. We aimed to test associations of environmental risk factors for obesity with psychopathology in a diverse cohort of adolescents.
