Regulating together: improvements in youth with asd and emotion dysregulation enrolled in virtual intervention

Youths with ASD often experience behavioral and emotional symptoms associated with emotion dysregulation (ED), or difficulty modulating emotional experience, expression, and intensity in an acceptable and contextually appropriate manner. Regulating Together (RT) is an intensive-outpatient, caregiver-assisted group program to meet the needs of this population. The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a virtual delivery of this intervention. Our objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of Virtual-RT (V-RT). We hypothesized that V-RT would improve emotion regulation and overall functioning.
