Abstract
Graphic medicine is a field that explores the intersection between comics and health care. It has been used in medical education to increase empathy and communication skills, and to teach patient safety and bioethics. Graphic medicine, through its visual storytelling, can be a meaningful medium to teach medical students about cultural competency concerning Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) mental health.
