摘要
•A novel ZnO/CdS/UiO-66 material is devised to be used as photoanode for DSSCs.•Organic dyes were used as sensitizers instead of expensive traditional dyes.•Photo electrochemical parameters confirms the enhanced performance of the devices.•A maximum of 2.94 % efficiency was observed for ZnO/CdS/UiO-66 photoanode sensitized with Pyrocatechol violet.
