摘要
In various contexts, creativity has become increasingly valued. In spite of this, there is a limited number of instruments available in Brazil to assess this characteristic. Due to this, the Figural Creativity Test (FCT), which is already used for assessing kids, has been extended to include adults. This study presents the results of the search for evidence of convergent validity, aiming at its suitability for adolescents and adults. Participants were 110 adults with an average age of 47.1 years, both genders, and different levels of education, who completed the TCF and the Torrance Thinking Creatively with Figures. Spearman's correlation coefficient had positive and significant values, highlighting the total of the two instruments (r = 0.66; p = 0.001) and the comparable measurements between the two instruments. The results motivate the continuation of the research process to expand the age range of test use.
