Research on Integrated Control Strategy of Thermal Power Generation and Energy Storage Combined Secondary Frequency Modulation Based on ACE and SOC Partition

The problem of frequency fluctuation brought by large-scale grid connection of new energy sources is becoming increasingly serious. In order to relieve the pressure of thermal power units participating in frequency regulation, this paper adopts energy storage to assist frequency regulation and proposes a control strategy to optimize the frequency regulation effect of thermal power units using battery energy storage. For the problem that the traditional battery energy storage energy management strategy is insufficient to prevent reverse power output, an energy management strategy based on battery storage state of charge (SOC) partitioning is proposed. For the problem of insufficient battery storage SOC recovery under continuous load perturbation, the action goal of selective recovery of battery storage SOC during frequency regulation is achieved by adaptive sag control on the basis of interval division of regional control deviation signals. Finally, two typical scenarios of battery storage participation in secondary frequency regulation are established by MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform to simulate and verify the proposed control strategy, and the results show that the proposed control strategy can effectively maintain the battery storage SOC and optimize the frequency regulation effect of thermal power units.
