Collision Avoidance in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Networks

With the growing application of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the sensors embedded with BLE has been applied in elderly home environment to monitor the living states of the elderly. To enable the transmission of emergency from elderly individuals to the gateway, this paper focuses on establishing separate paths for the deployed emergency sensors within the same room. The proposed mechanism can avoid collision and prevent the emergency transmission from failures. The simulation study exhibits the effectiveness of the proposed mechanism on collision avoidance.
