摘要
Total Electron Content (TEC) is a result of ionospheric, geomagnetic, and space weather conditions and processes, rather than being their descriptor. The mid-latitude TEC climate over a year is examined in relation to geomagnetic disturbances to provide a quantitative analysis of TEC climate in all possible TEC dynamics event classes, while identifying their proportionate frequency of occurrence. Research outcomes are to assist the mitigation of ionospheric conditions and effects on technology systems, such as Global Satellite Navigation System (GNSS).
