Hypofractionated Accelerated Radiation Dose-Painting (HARD) vs. Standard Radiotherapy for Unresected SoftTissue Sarcoma

Although the HARD regimen and higher BED were both associated with significant improvement in LC, only the HARD regimen independently associated with a local control benefit for unresected STS. These results suggest biologic dose-intensification exploiting the low α/β of STS with an isotoxic hypofractionated regimen may be a favorable strategy for unresectable STS. Future prospective studies are necessary to validate these findings.
