Study on the Influence of Leakage Fault on the Thermal and Hydraulic Characteristics of U-tube Steam Generator

Abstract
To study the influence of coolant leakage on the transient response of the U-tube steam generator, a one-dimensional distributed simulation model and leakage model of the steam generator were established based on APROS simulation platform. The accuracy of the model was verified by steady-state results comparison verification and step disturbance test. The effects of different leakage positions and leakage levels on the operating characteristics of the U-tube steam generator are simulated. The results show that when the leakage position is close to the inlet of the primary side, the mass flow and pressure of the secondary pressure are most affected by the leakage. With the increase in leakage levels, the influence of the U-tube steam generator operating characteristics also increases.
