摘要
Fundamental adjustments have been made in project creation, planning, and execution over the last few decades. In place of the traditional waterfall project management approach that is frequently used today, this has taken shape by adopting new techniques such as diverse, agile project management methodologies. Agile has been incredibly effective, and a sizable section of the Information Technology industry has included it within their organizations. Unfortunately, traditional methods have prevailed in many professional disciplines, including the construction industry. This impacts projects’ costs, schedules, and other aspects that could benefit from agile methodologies. However, implementing any agile solutions would need significant upfront investment. The current study presents a conceptual framework for successfully adopting agile methodologies in construction projects. Based on the review, six factors driving the adoption of agile practices were identified in the study. Those are absorptive capacity, employee involvement, communication and collaboration, training and learning, management support and organizational Culture. As factors have been identified, practitioners will be able to adopt agile methodologies in the construction industry successfully.
