Outcomes following implementation of a pediatric cardio-oncology program

•85 % of children diagnosed with cancer under 20 years old remain alive 5 years later.•Childhood cancer survivors are 8 times more likely to die from cardiovascular causes.•All children were asymptomatic, but 30 % required heart failure therapy.•Patients older at cancer diagnosis required heart failure therapy more often.•When exposed to chemotherapy and radiation, 50 % required heart failure therapy.
