Emergency Generator Tripping Strategy of Wind-Thermal Bundling System Considering Low Voltage Ride Through Characteristics of Wind Turbines

Considering further optimizing control costs and improve the stability of joint delivery system, the emergency generator tripping strategy of the wind-thermal bundling system is changed from only tripping the thermal power unit to the coordinated generator tripping strategy. During the fault, the influence of the wind farm on the power angle stability of the system is determined by its low voltage ride through (LVRT) strategy. Therefore, it should be meaningful for according to the transient characteristics to make accurate selection to carry out wind farm tripping. Aiming at this problem, it is necessary to analyze the LVRT strategy how to affect the power angle of joint delivery system from two aspects of active power and reactive power. Based on analysis conclusion, the wind farm screening principle is given and the emergency generator tripping strategy considering LVRT of wind turbine characteristics is proposed. Finally, taking the actual power grid as an example, the simulation of various coordinated generator tripping of the wind-thermal strategies such as thermal power priority, wind power priority, wind power priority but considering LVRT characteristics is carried out. The effectiveness of the strategy considering LVRT of wind turbine characteristics is verified by actual grid, it also takes into account the safety and economy.
