Hybrid Energy Source Based Landsman Converter for AC/DC Microgrid

摘要
The main objective of this study is to compare the SEPIC converter, which has a poor dynamic output voltage and more ripple content, with the proposed LANDSMAN converter, which has a better dynamic output voltage and less ripple content. The latter system has multiple reverse conversions in a single ac or dc grid. Furthermore, these two converters operations are compared for a resistive load by using MATLAB/Simulink and result is presented and also the operation of LANDSMAN converter with and without PI controller is simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. The proposed system has the potential to be implemented in various micro-grid applications, including rural electrification, remote area power supply, and emergency backup power systems. The hardware implementation of the Landsman converter using a hybrid energy source for AC/DC grid has been carried out.
