Application of a 3D Parabolic Equation Model with Higher-Order Operator Approximation

摘要
A parabolic equation sound propagation model with higher-order operator approximation is introduced for three-dimensional numerical calculation. The higher-order approximation is implemented by Taylor expansion of the Helmholtz root equation, and then applies the split-step Fourier method to calculate the sound field recursively. The model is applied to analyze sound propagation in both mesoscale eddy and frontal environments, and the features of sound fields with these dynamic processes are discussed. Moreover, the results of 3D sound fields effectively prove the performance of the parabolic equation model approximated by higher-order operators.
