Abstract
Neonatal proximal humeral physeal separation poses a diagnostic challenge. Ultrasonography is helpful for diagnosis. MRI is indicated when concurrent brachial plexus birth injury is suspected. Conservative management yields good outcome in the absence of entrapped nerves and tendons.
