Thermal Analysis of 12 kV Environmental Protection Gas Insulated Switchgear

Using the GIS coupled heat transfer equation, the method incorporates skin effect and proximity effect to obtain the conductor contact resistance and determine the thermal power of various conductors. This information serves as input for simulating the temperature field and steady-state three-dimensional airflow field of SF6 switchgear. The simulation results are then compared with the prototype temperature rise test results. Additionally, by simulating the environmental gas temperature, two different gases as insulating medium switchgear are analyzed under the same size and pressure conditions. The simulation tests demonstrate that the temperature rise of environmental protection gas insulation switchgear is about 10K higher than SF6, and the reasons for the difference in SF6 and environmental gas temperature rise performance are also analyzed.
