Integration and management of Renewable Energy Sources in an Electric Vehicle Charging Station using a DC nanoGrid

As well known there is a need to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, the transition to zero-emission vehicles so it is necessary to comply with the imposed regulations. In this paper a system to optimal manage the recharging of an electric vehicle, in order to minimize the exchange with the grid has been proposed. It considers a microgrid interfacing an external storage system, a photovoltaic plant, the charging station and a point of connection with the grid. Several test in different conditions have been carried out, showing as different parameter are useful for the optima¡ operating of the entire system.
