Abstract
In this work, we present a simulation framework that is capable of tracking hydrogen content in a hydrogen-enriched natural gas pipeline system. The modeling of the pipeline is based on an electrical analogy framework, which transforms the pipeline system into an equivalent electrical circuit. The equivalent electrical circuit is then solved using modified nodal analysis approach. In addition, we implemented an algorithm to track the hydrogen propagation in the pipeline network. The hydrogen-enriched natural gas mixture properties are calculated using the GERG-2008 equation of state. A simple study case is performed to illustrate the capability of the presented work.
