摘要
The proximal hind limb adductor muscle of mice was exposed to US (1.3 MHz, MI 1.3, pulsing interval 5 seconds) to produce inertial cavitation of microbubbles. It has been established that cavitation creates vasodilation and augmentation in perfusion through release of NO and ATP. This vascular effect is modestly inhibited by advanced age, type 2 diabetes, and elevated LDL cholesterol (LDL-C).Central IllustrationThe proximal hind limb adductor muscle of mice was exposed to US (1.3 MHz, MI 1.3, pulsing interval 5 seconds) to produce inertial cavitation of microbubbles.
