Abstract
•By a simple one-step hydrothermal process NiMoO4/Eu6MoO12 composite was synthesized.•Eu6MoO12 nanoparticles were attached to the surface of NiMoO4 nanorods.•Eu with variable oxidation states produced oxygen vacancy and promoted the Faraday reaction.•The binder-free electrode showed a high capacitance of 1184.0 C g−1.
