Enhancing the piezo-photocatalytic tetracycline degradation activity of BiOBr by the decoration of AuPt alloy nanoparaticles: Degradation pathways and mechanism investigation

摘要
•AuPt alloy nanoparaticles were successfully decorated on BiOBr surface to form AuPt/BiOBr piezo-photocatalysts via a photoreduction route.•AuPt/BiOBr manifests remarkably enhanced photocatalytic degradation ability compared with Au/BiOBr, Pt/BiOBr and bare BiOBr.•The piezo-photocatalytic removal performance of AuPt/BiOBr towards the degradation of TC is obviously super to its individual piezo- and photocatalytic acitivty.•The synergetic coupling of SPR and piezoelectric effect contribute to the efficient piezo-photocatalytic performance of AuPt/BiOBr.
