Three-dimensional analytical elasticity solutions in isosceles-right triangular composite laminates

•We propose a new method for solving static response of simply-supported composite laminates under general loads.•We deliver an exact solution for static response of simply-supported triangular laminates.•The solution can serve as benchmarks for numerical analysis of triangular laminates.•The method is further applied to solve the fundamental frequency of the triangular plate.
