摘要
•The water stability of eutectic solvents (ESs) predicted using COSMO-SAC and through calculating the water activities.•The results revealed that hydrophobicity of ESs components is the driving factor in their stability in water.•The molar ratio of ES component and their concentration enhance the water stability by increasing the hydrophobicity of ES.•An increase in the alkyl chain length of DESs increases the viscosity while decreasing their density.
