Abstract
In the lubrication of discs, the chosen starting point of the lubricant film has a considerable influence on the analytical determination of the load capacity. When using the traditional hypothesis, the maximum load capacity is defined. A new hypothesis that enables the lower limit of the load capacity of the system also to be found has been defined.
