Introduction for special issue of JACerS for ISNNM 2022

This special issue highlights the papers of speakers at the International Symposium on Novel and Nano Materials 2022 (ISNNM 2022). Over the last 20 years, there has been a huge amount of study into nanoceramics that has resulted in some positive outcomes not only for academia but industry too. As a result, these advanced materials have a wide range of uses in electronics, engineering ceramics and bio-ceramics for example. In this special issue, we believe it is a good opportunity to summarize nanoceramics in depth. An overview of the ISNNM2022 and the Steering Committee for this special issue are described as follows: ISNNM 2022 was held in Jeju, Korea from November 14th to 18th, 2022. The ISNNM 2022 focused on the overall nanomaterials research, such as advanced materials processing, advanced powder materials, additive manufacturing (3D printing) and characterization and modeling, energy and functional materials, nanocomposites and nanoporous materials, rare materials and recycling, refractory materials, and hard materials. All main aspects of these materials were covered, including synthesis, mechanism, microstructures, properties, and applications.
