FROM THE CORRESPONDENCE OF JOSe MARiA VARGAS VILA: FRIENDSHIP AND DIPLOMACY IN THE LETTER OF JULY 14, 1908 TO RUBeN DARiO.

The aim of this paper is to address the fraternal, intellectual and diplomatic connection between Jose Maria Vargas Vila (1860-1933) and Ruben Dario (1867-1916) via the letter of July 14, 1908 that the Colombian thinker wrote him to the Nicaraguan poet when both were in Spain. First is made the analysis of their friendship following the Ruben Dario book (1917) and other reference texts; then the letter is transcribed and get its meaning as an object of study in the field of Latin American intellectual history.
