Abstract
Introduction: Performance sport exposes its practitioners to situations of stressful behavioral loads that may influence decision-making, reflecting on success or reduction in performance. Objective: we aimed to analyze the pre-competitive anxiety in futsal performance adult category players in two games. Materials and Methods: It was a convenience sample of 9 female futsal club players, adult category, with an age group of 24 +/- 4.86 years, who were submitted to an anthropometric evaluation performed during training, application of the pre-competition anxiety questionnaire (CSAI-2), 30 minutes before the matches. Results: It was identified that 80% of the sample had average cognitive anxiety scores in game 1 situation (19.44 points) and 60% in game 2 (19 points), average somatic anxiety of 100% for game 1 (23 points) and 100% game 2 (22 points) and average self-confidence 40% for game 1 (27.33 points) and 60% for game 2 (26.5 points). Conclusion: Futsal players have average anxiety scores in their 3 behavioral components: cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety and self-confidence.
