Abstract
The current review was undertaken to collate data on a-glucosidase inhibitors isolated from endophytic fungi reported for the decade 2010-2021. Endophytic fungi produce complex and unique structural classes of sec-ondary metabolites which prompt them as novel sources of leads for the pharmaceutical and agricultural in-dustries. This review summarizes the natural phenolics as a-glucosidase inhibitors from a plethora of endophytic fungi and broadly discusses the structure-activity relationship and their antidiabetic potential. Moreover, the glucosidase inhibitory activities of these compounds are presented and compared with standard glucosidase inhibitors.
