Abstract
By employing an N, O-containing organic 5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid (H2L) as the tridentate ligand, a structurally and characteristically stabilized coordination polymer [Ag(HL-)](n) (1) with a 4-c topology has been successfully synthesized. The target complex is structured as a two-dimensional (2D) network in which [Ag2C2O4] atoms form octagons to construct twisted secondary building units (SBUs) with organic ligands. Furthermore, the 73.931(3)degrees twist between the adjacent SBUs contributes to the assembly of the final novel structure. In addition, Hirshfeld surface analysis indicates that intermolecular Van der Waals forces play a major role in crystal stacking. Based on the activity of silver ions, complex 1 exhibits effective antimicrobial performance against the nine representative Gram-positive bacteria tested in comparison with the free ligand H2L. Notably, target complex demonstrates promising electrochemiluminescence property that the luminous intensity can reach 1062 a.u. and remain relatively stable within 250s with the relative standard deviation as low as 1.69%, indicating its potential as an applied material for OLED.
