Photo-Induced Glycosylations Using Organophotoacids: A New Environmentally Benign Carbohydrate Synthesis

This account reports the glycosylation reactions of glycosyl trichloroacetimidates and various alcohols using several organophotoacids as activators under photo-irradiation conditions. The reactions proceed smoothly to give the corresponding glycosides in high yields.
