Abstract
Peptic ulcer disease is a condition that can be brought on by an infection or by long-term use of stomach irritants such medications. By creating oxidative stress and inflaming the mucosal layer, Heli-cobacter pylori can harm stomach cells and even cause them to die. All peptic ulcer sufferers should have it checked. Electronic databases that were accessed included Google Scholar, PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus. The information on the protective impact of pharmacological Nrf2 activator, for example, DMF, in the treatment of peptic ulcer was collected from these sources. H. pylori increases inflammatory cytokines and damages gastric cells by producing ROS. A pathogen's impact could be lessened and dam-age or cell death may be prevented by pharmaceutically activating Nrf2, which is a transcription factor that induces anti-oxidative stress enzymes and inhibits NF-B. DMF is Nrf2 activator that can be used in clinical trials to treat gastric cell damage brought on by H. pylori.
