Thermal property of self-cross-linking silk fibroin scaffolds

Thermal property of the silk fibroin scaffolds has triggered rocketing interest in tissue engineering because it affects greatly the scaffolds reliability and efficien-cy. This paper suggests a promising method to optimize the scaffolds by a tyrosi-nase-catalyzed self-cross-linking reaction, the effects of tyrosinase concentra-tions on scaffolds thermal and physical properties are studied experimentally. The enzymatic cross-linking offers a new and promising angle for preparation of SF materials.
