•Measured laminar burning velocity for H2/CH4/air mixtures at elevated pressures.•Cellularity has been observed in all mixtures due to the DL and TD instabilities.•Strain-rate Markstein number varies with the pressure and hydrogen fractions.•A good agreement with predictions based on recently developed H2/CH4 mechanisms.
