Abstract
We have described herein a metal-free one-pot synthesis of indolizin-1-yl-pyrimidines from ethyl 3-(3-ethoxy-3-oxopropanoyl) indolizine-1-carboxylate, DMF-DMA and amidines. This protocol provides the tethering of indolizine scaffold with various 2-substitutted pyrimidines using simple starting materials. This new chemo-types may be useful in drug discovery and material science exploration.
