Abstract
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) outperforms orthogonal multiple access (OMA) in terms of the channel capacity. The main objective of this paper is to discuss the implementation of a Hybrid-NOMA system combined with the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technique (OFDM) in MATLAB. NOMA superposes multiple users on each OFDM subcarrier in the power domain. The designed system consists of a transmitter, a receiver and a selective fading channel. To validate the system’s performance, BER of the entire system was measured at the successive interference cancellation (SIC) receiver using MATLAB. According to the simulation results, the designed system was robust to frequency selective channels. Furthermore, we discuss the possibility of N-users NOMA system also using multi-antenna technologies, which is a challenge aim for the efficiency of future radio access (FRA) spectrum.
