CC-iRAS: A Centralized-Control Intra-Rack Access Strategy for Optical Data Center Networks.

摘要
In this study, we investigate the performance optimization requirements of an optical intra-rack data center network (DCN). We adopt a passive coupler-based optical network architecture for the interconnection among servers within the same rack and a centralized-control access strategy to coordinate their efficient transmissions. The proposed software-defined intra-rack DCN performance is evaluated through exhaustive simulation results by means of average throughput and average end-to-end delay, while it is comparatively studied to other state-of-the-art relative protocol reaching significant improvement. Finally, our proposal provides low energy footprint, whist can be easily scalable.
